10 Ways To Clean With Vinegar

White distilled vinegar is an inexpensive, non toxic, eco-friendly way to use around your household. Here are some ways to see wonderful results with this wonderful household cleaner:

  1. Window Cleaner:  Mix equal parts of vinegar and water in a spray bottle and wipe using a microfiber towel.
  2. Microwave: Simply spray vinegar to the inside of the microwave and set your microwave for 30 seconds. Wipe and clean for amazing results.
  3. Clean dishes and glasses: Add vinegar to the bottom of the dishwasher. Wash on regular cycle with your usual detergent. Watch how sparkly your dishes look after that!
  4. Shower heads build up: Warm a cup of distilled vinegar with a little bit of dawn dish soap detergent if you have a removable shower head, remove it and place it face down in the vinegar/soap mixture for approx. 15 min, if heavy build up let it sit overnight; otherwise just mix vinegar with dawn dish detergent in a zip-lock bag and tie it to the shower head so the showerhead sits in the vinegar.
  5. Deodorize Kitchen drain: Keep your drains fresh by pouring a cup of vinegar down the drain once a week, allow it to sit for 30 min then flush with cold water.
  6. Bathtub Film: Mix equal parts of warm vinegar and dawn dish detergent, spray liberally, let it sit for couple of minutes and scrub using a sponge with  baking soda. Rinse away using water.
  7. Floor Cleaner: Use 1/2 cup of vinegar to half gallon of water as your moping solution.
  8. Automatic Coffee maker cleaner: To dissolve minerals and build up, fill the reservoir with vinegar and run the cycle, empty it, rinse away vinegar residue and run another cycle with clean water.
  9. Shower Glass: To prevent soap scum build up, spray shower doors with distilled white vinegar every time after taking a shower.
  10. Wine Stains: To remove wine stains from cotton, cotton/polyester fabrics. Sponge white vinegar directly onto the affected area until the stain disappears, make sure to treat it tje stain within 24 hours.
